This is another great Lego set that falls in the not-too-easy-yet-not-too-difficult category depending on the age of the child of course. The boats are well designed and stay very well together once constructed (this is the key for us, it's frustrating to have pieces come apart after spending all the time putting them together). Comes with a whole bunch of colorful stickers and the rocket/fish launcher is a nice touch!
Our older son (almost 5 years) spent about 40 minutes or so putting the entire set together. The packet says that it is for 7-12yrs - that would have probably been the appropriate age if it was one set of 191 pieces. However, since there are two independent boats, this is more like 2 sets of 95 pcs each. Ideal for 5-6 yr olds, but I think these would be far too easy for children older than that age bracket.

Altough this was a gift for my grandson, along with several other lego kits, this was the one he zeroed in on first ; before the end of the party, he ; his friends (with younger brother's assistance of course), had it put together ; headed for the pool to play with it. It's been several months ; the toy is still a favorite ; has endured a six ; four year old so I believe that says a lot about the quality of it.
