Zane is the Ninja of Ice in the Ninjago series. In this set, he wears his normal suit. LEGO Ninjago Zane DX 2171 is basically the same toy, but he's in his special Dragon Suit. If this is your first Zane, you might want to check out that one as well.
This is a good choice if your child is interested in playing the "Spinjitsu" game because it comes with the spinner (top) that the lego guy stands on. In this version, his spinner is blue on top.
Zane is also featured in LEGO Ninjago Ice Dragon Attack 2260, where Zane also comes with his dragon suit, but no spinner or battle cards. That set is a better choice if you're not interested in playing the Spinjitsu game. You can also find him in the LEGO Ninjago Spinjitzu Dojo 2504.
LEGO Ninjago Zane DX 2171 comes with a golden spinner, and his character card is a bit more powerful (he has 5 Ice bars instead of 4 as in this set). Personally, I feel the Zane DX is a better choice since his character card is more powerful and he's in his dragon suit.
Lego toys in general are great quality and educational as well as entertaining for kids. my son is 9 and these ninjago toys are his latest craze. He loves them.
