We got this set for my 3yr old requested it for Christmas. Its fun he loves it, spends time playing with it a lot. But dont mix it up to much with other sets or its hard to determine whats with what set. so rebuilding can be hard. So I keep them in a seperate small plastic bin or bag as I do with most sets like this. The only other thing is only my own pet peeve but my son will want to go back and forth between the train and the station thus having to rebuild since he is so young he cant do it all on his own. But hey if thats the only bad thing I can think of thats pretty good right? ;) at his age its not a toy he can play with by himself.

My 6 year old, who is a huge Thomas fan received this set for Christmas. He was thrilled to get it. We were able to assemble it with no problem, but once it is built, it comes apart almost too easily. I know it's blocks and they are meant to do that (come apart), but he gets frustrated when he wants to play with what he just built and it keeps falling apart. Now the pieces have been added to the other blocks that we have of the same size...overall a good buy for the creativity factor, but as for durability once something is built, no so much.
