My kids love the minifigures and creating their own adventures. However, my daughter just doesn't have the choices that my son has in the lego world. This set has great options for girls - princess/queen, mermaid, witches. The set was still perfect for my son - skeletons, pirates, etc.
Now she can play her own characters.
Some problems with the hair not staying on during play. But still worth it.

I bought this set, as well as another Lego Figures Set, for my 6 year old son. He loves Legos already but seems to have the most fun with the people so I figured I would see if there was just a set of people I could get him. He was really excited to get all the parts and build the people. Each 'type' of person has a lot of cool little Lego accessories to enhance them. For example, the witch figure has a cool witch broom and a cauldron and spider. The mer-people have some seaweed and a little Lego crab. The skeleton pirates were a big hit with my son. It is a really cute set. We had lots of fun putting them all together and he loves playing with them.
